
Local MP, Iain Duncan Smith, who once served with the Scots Guards joined the 9th Chingford Armed Forces Day and Parade celebrations with local Conservative Councillors on Saturday 30th June, to show appreciation of the work of the Armed Forces. During the day’s busy celebrations, the event featured a march from Chingford Plains down to the Green, displays and military vehicles and a fete with featured stalls, children’s rides and an evening tea dance in the Assembly Hall.

Trinity Catholic High School is a co-ed Catholic comprehensive school in Woodford. The school has over 1,600 pupils and is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. Local MP Iain Duncan Smith visited the school recently to talk with pupils from several different year groups about issues that concerned them.
